This Saturday, April 27th from 6:00 a.m - 10:00 am

As part of its 125th anniversary celebration this year, Belk is showing its continued gratitude and commitment to the Southern communities it serves with the Belk Charity Sale event, presented at every Belk location nationwide.

Local nonprofits sell the $5 tickets and keep 100% of the proceeds. Local nonprofits will also be on hand selling tickets at the door, so come on out to shop, save, and support!

During the special sale hours customers receive $5 off their first purchase and are treated to 20-70% throughout the store. The first 100 people in line will receive a free Belk Gift Card worth $5-$100 with three $1000 gift cards being awarded system-wide.

J.Crew Rose Beaded Necklace
Some of you may have seen me wearing this necklace lately. It is sold out at J. Crew where it was originally $148. If you know me at all, you know I did NOT pay $148 for this necklace. Instead I paid $35. How? I found it on Etsy.com. It has one tiny flaw that no one (except me) would notice. Is it from J. Crew though? Well...it says J. Crew on it, it is as heavy as the one at J. Crew and it looks like the J. Crew version in stores. So in my mind it is J. Crew...

What's the story then? Let me first say that most of my "J. Crew" jewelry was not purchased from the retailer, but on eBay or Etsy from people in China. I can't verify my hunch, but I think J. Crew makes their jewelry in China and the employees are either taking home the imperfect ones or stealing them and selling them online. I may be wrong, but as Sy on Duck Dynasty would say, "Hey!", if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck!

PAINTER'S PRINTS
Paint Color blouse by Pippa via Belk

Many of you have encouraged me to get back to blogging. While I am super busy right now with work and don't have time for outfit pics, I thought I would take a look back at what I've worn this past year to see if there is anything that is still on-trend. Thankfully, I have lots!

Do you remember the paint splatter look from the 80's? Well it's back as the new "painterly print". You will find watercolors like my blouse (above), brush strokes (skirt below), and the hate-to-love paint splatter look (dress below).

I like my watercolor blouse, but to be honest, that is probably as far as I'll go with this trend. I really, really dislike 80's fashion and am hoping that it is as disliked now as it was then!

Thanks to all of you who have encouraged me to get back to blogging!

Hugs - Julie
